Helen Trundle joins the Baltic Exchange Membership Council
Helen Trundle, Key Accounts Manager at DA-Desk, has recently been invited to join the Baltic Exchange Membership Council.
We chatted with Helen to find out more about it.
Can you tell us a bit about the Baltic Exchange?
The Baltic Exchange has been in existence since 1744. Based in London and with regional offices in Greece, the Far East and the US.
Its name is prominent within the global shipping community and many are familiar with its long-standing role in the shipping industry together with their motto, ‘Our Word, Our Bond’. Members include shipowners, shipbrokers and charterers as well as maritime lawyers, arbitrators, P&I Clubs and other shipping associations across the dry bulk, tanker, gas and container shipping sectors.
The Baltic Exchange provides the basis for ethical conduct and integrity, whereby members commit to a high standard of business practice known as ‘The Baltic Code’.
Additionally, the Baltic Exchange provides supporting services such as dispute resolution, networking opportunities and education.
